How do I synchronize my iPad's data with another? (Multiple Terminal)

You will need to have 2 iPads, both installed with GeniusPOS.
For the iPad that is connected to the cashier printer, under terminal settings set it as Main POS.
For second iPad (ordering terminal), configure it as terminal and enter the IP address of Main POS.
Pair them before you can start using. You can pair up to 5 devices currently.

How do I install GeniusPOS on another iPad? (Multiple Terminal)

For ordering terminal, you can just download GeniusPOS Lite and it will work the same.
If you are using the same Apple ID, you can download GeniusPOS again and click on restore purchase for terminal functions

 

Does it work without a cash drawer?

Yes, you do not need a cash drawer for your printer to work.

 

What is column in the printer settings?

Different printer has different printable column. It determines the width of your printing by adjusting the column count.  Use test print to see the results. Ranging from 36 column to 52 column.

How do I backup my files?

To backup, you will have to plug your iPad into iTunes.
In iTunes, select your device and go under iPad's App.
Scroll down till you see File Sharing & look for GeniusPOS.
Look for GeniusPOS.db & Images Folder, copy them to your preferred location.
To restore, replace GeniusPOS.db and copy all the Images to the root folder. Images will automatically be copied into the Images folder upon the application start

In v1.200 onwards, you can backup your files using Dropbox.

Can GeniusPOS support other language?

Currently GeniusPOS supports language listed below. For more, please contact us.
In v1.270 onwards, updates of language will be reflected in app immediately.

Is it possible to import item using CSV file?

Yes, just drag and drop the CSV file into the documents folder of GeniusPOS (full version).
Go under Import CSV in settings and select the file.
Right click to save the sample csv file.
