F&B POS examples

Here are some of the basic considerations to outline your POS configurations. It

Eg: Boutique Cafes that serves cakes
Categories to set: Coffee, Tea, Chocolate, Ice blended, Cakes, Pastries, Specials
Key in product items under each category (say coffee): key in the varieties of coffee product items offered
Under each product item, set the modifier: hot or cold, less sugar etc...

Eg: Bars
Categories to set: Draught beer, Bottled beer, Whiskies, Spirits, Happy hour items, Promo
Key in product items under each category (say whiskies): key in the varieties of whiskies in the product items
Under each product item, set the modifier: the type of mixers

Eg: Food outlets
Categories: Rice, Noodles, Chicken, Seafood, Vegetables
Key in product items under each category (say Rice): enter the varieties of fried rice, plain rice, rice with butter prawns
Under each product item, the the modifier: double rice, double meat


This is by no means fixed settings or a manual that you must follow. There are many ways to set the categories and many other settings... that is what makes the Genius POS system easy and fun to use.

Just set it the way you feel best suits your business not the other way around.
